Join Our Team as a Residential Youth Worker at MADEC in the Mackay region. 
We are hiring for permanent roles. 
This position involves shift work, weekends and sleepovers, with hourly rates from $46.69 to $50.06 per hour (casual) plus penalties and allowances where applicable.

About the Role 
As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be the backbone of our mission. 
Working under the guidance of experienced Team Leaders and Youth Coordinators, you will: 
Support and Guide: Provide day-to-day care, teach practical and social skills, and prepare young people for adulthood. 
Foster a Safe Environment: Create a consistent and nurturing atmosphere. 
Be a Role Model: Lead by example, helping young people develop confidence and skills.

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will need: 
Qualifications: Cert IV in Child, Family, and Youth Intervention (or equivalent) or willingness to obtain it. 
Screening: Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and LCS2. 
Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
