Location: Wollongong, New South Wales
Contract: 3-year Term Contract
Salary: $87,142.96 – $100,466.86 per annum plus superannuation (package assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications).
The Opportunity
Are you ready to engineer your future? Wollongong City Council is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and passionate Graduate Civil Engineer to gain hands‑on experience, contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects, and grow into a confident professional.
As a Graduate Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver a wide range of civil engineering projects across the Wollongong LGA. You'll gain hands‑on experience in design, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement—all while contributing to an extraordinary Wollongong.
What You Will Be Doing
* Assist with the design and scoping of stormwater, transport, and development‑related infrastructure.
* Work within multidisciplinary teams and support project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
* Coordinate subcontractors and fieldwork with a focus on quality, safety, and outcomes.
* Apply engineering standards, Council policies, and WHS principles in all aspects of your work.
* Develop your skills under the guidance of experienced engineers while contributing to an extraordinary Wollongong.
About You
* Recently completed (within the last 2 years) or currently studying to complete a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, with eligibility to graduate prior to commencement.
* Eligibility for professional membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
