Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the state transportteamto achieve performance targets.
Oversee fleet operations, scheduling, and resource planning to ensure timely service delivery.
Maintain safety and compliance standards in line with NHVR, CoR, and OHS regulations.
Monitor and control operational budgets, driving cost efficiencies and financial performance.
Foster strong customer relationships and manage service level agreements (SLAs).
Liaise with internal departments to align operational goals and ensure effective communication.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
Oversee staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to company procedures.
Maintain accurate warehouse stock control and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in transport operations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive performance and implement process improvements.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
Experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and operational systems such as Power BI.
Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to undertake)
Experience managing teams.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Strong safety mindset.
