About the role As aSenior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead a passionate team of engineers and designers to deliver high‐quality outcomes that consistently exceed client expectations.Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and client's quality standards.Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects.Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes.Continuously develop industry networks and contacts.Work with clients to identify efficiency opportunities and reach decarbonisation (ESG) targets.Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible.About you You bring the following skills and experience:Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of oil, gas and energy terminals or refining.Proven Australian experience in oil and gas, mining, refining, terminal, tank farm or bulk fuel distribution.Deep understanding of relevant design codes such as ASME B31.3, AS 4041, API 650, ASME VIII or AS 2885.Experience in pipe stress analysis (AutoPIPE or Caesar II).Site, fabrication or construction experience is viewed positively.Certifications: CPEng, RPEQ or equivalent, or near completion.Strong team player, able to work within or guide teams.Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision.A degree in Mechanical Engineering.Ability to manage your time and work independently.Location & Type Brisbane, Queensland.
