Position Overview
As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team, reporting directly to the Managing Director in Newcastle and maintaining a dotted line to the CFO based in China. This role will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage monthly financial statements and reports.
* Oversee and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
* Conduct variance analysis to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
* Prepare financial reports and updates for the Managing Director and collaborate closely with senior management.
* Maintain alignment with global financial strategies through regular communication with the CFO in China.
* Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion.
Qualifications & Experience
* 2-3 years of demonstrated experience as an Accountant.
* Previous experience in a similar industry is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
