Our Client Manufactures over 300 products sold across the Construction, Protective Coating, Mining and Surf Industries. They manufacture products across Urethane, Epoxy, Acrylic, Vinyl ester and Polyester chemistries, producing finished products from very low viscosity through to extremely thick pastes and distribute or export products from large multinational companies to direct shop sales!
Our Client supplies products such as adhesives and coatings to industries such as Pool, Marine, Transport-Automotive-Bus-Truck-Train-Aircraft, Corrosion Resistance Pipes & Vessels, Waterproofing, Protective Coatings, Civil Engineering, General Building, Surf & Mining.Leading the way in development of specialised products tailored to the processes of our customers.
Our Client is currently looking for Machine operators to assist in manufacturing and packaging various products. As a Machine operator, you will be required to read and understand the "recipe" for each product you will make, lift up to 20kg of raw ingredients in to various machines and mix the ingredients in to the desired product. After the product is made it is sent to the on site chemist to confirm the correct batch has been made, then you will be required to pour into correct packaging (drums, 20kg bottles, bags) ready for labelling and placed on to pallets ready for distribution.
**As a Machine Operator you may be required to;**
- Operate machinery and equipment within the factory, adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Set up machines and adjust settings to ensure efficient and accurate production runs.
- Load and unload raw materials, chemicals, and products using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Perform manual labour tasks, such as lifting, moving, and stacking materials.
- Document production activities, inventory accurately and maintain records as per company policies.
- Adhere to proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
**What we are looking for in a Machine Operator**
To be successful in this role, there are a few things we are looking for:
- Highly motivated
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions accurately.
- Ability to work within a team and have strong interpersonal skills
- Able to recognise priorities with a high attention to detail
- Have a valid drivers license (Highly regarded)
- Forklift License (Highly regarded)
