Heavy Vehicle Workshop Leader
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet, ensuring compliance with government regulations and internal audits.

About the Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance and Quality Control Manager and will be responsible for scheduling and managing maintenance processes, inventory management, database upkeep, outsourced repairs, and fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimize staff utilization and vehicle availability to maximize productivity.
* Manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance processes to achieve on-time servicing performance, reduce vehicle off-road time, and minimize defects.
* Ensure compliance with government regulations, internal audits, external accreditation, vehicle COIs, and environmental practices.
* Maintain depot fleet peak vehicle requirements, reduce breakdowns, and enhance internal/external vehicle presentation.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven leadership experience in a heavy vehicle workshop environment.
* Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade.
* Fleet management and preventative maintenance program experience.
* Problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, attention to detail.
* Department of Transport legislation knowledge (desired).
* Intermediate computer skills – ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
* Hold a valid MR/HR license.
* Strong diagnosis skills.
* Volvo and Scania chassis experience (desirable).
