As one of the nation's busiest tertiary referral perinatal centres, the Women's is able to care for the full spectrum of risk in pregnancy, from straightforward gestations to those with complex maternal and fetal conditions.About the role We are recruiting for Specialty Antenatal clinics and General Antenatal clinics, fixed term leave cover from 03/08/2026 – 31/01/2027.This position is responsible in collaboration with the Clinical Directors and Heads of Unit/ Team Leaders for:Providing high quality outpatient and in‐patient Obstetric clinical servicesParticipation in the provision of emergency on‐call obstetric services to the Royal Women'sP laying an active role in training registrars and resident medical officers and participate in the teaching of medical students and other health care trainees attached to the Women's.Participating in quality improvement initiatives, including guideline reviewAssisting the heads of Units with some administrative and quality improvement responsibilitiesAbout you The role requires:A medical practitioner who is eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaFellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and GynaecologistsProven clinical skills and experience in tertiary‐level antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal obstetric careAt the Women's you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning.
