As a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects nationwide across a diverse range of sectors, including buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure.
In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in performance-based fire safety design, developing holistic strategies that protect people, buildings, and critical assets.
Through mentorship and involvement in live projects, you'll build a solid foundation in fire safety engineering and play a key role in shaping safer, more resilient environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assess how fires start, spread, and impact structures and occupants.
Apply scientific and engineering principles to reduce fire risk, protect people and assets, and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
Utilise zone- and CFD modelling to conduct fire and smoke analyses, combined with pedestrian egress modelling, and risk assessments to inform fire safety strategies.
Prepare technical documentation including fire engineering reports and drawings, outlining design solutions.
Who are you?
We're looking for a motivated and curious graduate who is eager to build a career in fire safety engineering.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a bachelor's or master's degree in e.g. Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
You will bring strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication and interpersonal capability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain required clearances are essential for this position.
