All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients of the Macquarie unit consistent with SESLHD and the Royal Hospital for Women policies, procedures and standards. The Registered Nurse in the Macquarie unit will liaise and communicate with the nursing unit manager, clinical nurse consultant, registered nurses, medical officers, allied health and administration staff. The Macquarie unit provides a comprehensive range of surgical and medical specialities within gynaecological oncology, medical oncology, palliative care, benign gynaecology including endometriosis, chronic pain and breast surgery. The service is provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The services are provided on a referral basis for patients at a tertiary and quaternary level from the local community and within NSW. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager with a professional reporting line to the Clinical Co-Director Gynaecology Services.South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is committed to equal employment opportunity and embraces diversity and inclusion within its workforce.
