The Registered Nurse in the Macquarie unit will liaise and communicate with the nursing unit manager, clinical nurse consultant, registered nurses, medical officers, allied health and administration staff. The Macquarie unit provides a comprehensive range of surgical and medical specialities within gynaecological oncology, medical oncology, palliative care, benign gynaecology including endometriosis, chronic pain and breast surgery. The service is provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The services are provided on a referral basis for patients at a tertiary and quaternary level from the local community and within NSW.
