Your Role as a Plant Operator
In this role, you’ll help care for the green spaces that make our Shire a great place to live. As a Plant Operator, you’ll operate horticultural plant and equipment, carry out safe chemical application, and assist with the day‑to‑day maintenance of parks and gardens. Your efforts will ensure our community has clean, safe, and welcoming outdoor areas to connect, play, and relax.
Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking motivated candidates who bring experience in horticultural maintenance and plant operation to help care for our community’s open spaces.
* A valid Class MR driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain one within 3 months) and a NSW WHS General Induction Card (White card) are essential.
* Experience in a similar role, with skills in operating tractors, ride-on mowers, and wood-chippers.
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety practises.
* A solid understanding of WHS and safe working methods.

* Package: $64,804 - $68,691 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of successful candidates.
* Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight.
