About the Role
Saab participates in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement (CCA), a collaborative enterprise organization managing programs across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and related DCE upgrades) and Hunter Class Frigates (SEA5000 Phase 1). The CSI-IPT combines personnel from industry and the Australian government to work across multiple programs, leveraging synergies between platforms.
The DDG Modernisation program involves integrating Aegis Baseline 9, the Australian Interface, and Tomahawk Weapon System onto the DDG platform. The CSI-IPT requires a Verification program for these systems, including installation, set-to-work, harbour, and sea acceptance tests.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver CDRLs such as V&V Plans, Acceptance Test Plans, Verification Cross-Reference Matrices, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Reports.
* Provide expert advice on V&V governance, planning, sequencing, and execution.
* Represent CSI-IPT in various technical and program reviews.
* Manage closure of actions with stakeholders.
* Coordinate with Platform Integration and Ship Design teams to deconflict schedules and support verification requirements.
* Ensure GFx related to V&V are identified and provided per the IMS schedule.
Candidate Profile
* 6-10 years of systems engineering experience, including complex and software-intensive systems.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, preferably in defense.
* Experience in systems integration, testing, verification, and validation within defense.
* Professional certifications from Engineers Australia or INCOSE are desirable.
* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and complex system integration, especially military systems.
* Proficiency in systems engineering tools and simulation environments.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
