About the role
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Officer to join our People & Learning team for a 6-month maternity leave cover. You will manage end to end recruitment and provide HR support at our Somersby Head Office.
This is a part-time, 30 hour a week role with flexible days and hours to suit the successful candidate. The schedule can be structured as 5 days during school hours or 4 full days, with the working days being negotiated. This is a short-term, 6-month contract, running from June to December 2026.
Duties
Post job advertisements across relevant platforms
Liaise with regional teams to determine recruitment needs
Create shortlists with suitable candidates
Conduct reference checks for shortlisted candidates
Manage the pre-employment medical process
Organise and schedule interviews
Set up onboarding for new hires using our human resources management system - ELMO
Skills & Experience
Familiarity with HR software (ELMO highly desirable)
Ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
Time management and prioritisation
Previous experience in recruitment or HR administration
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Team player with a proactive approach
