About Anglicare

Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) partners with vulnerable communities across regional, rural NSW and the ACT. Our work is grounded in social justice, trauma‑informed practice, and a commitment to dignity, inclusion and long‑term outcomes.

Anglicare invites applications for the Mental Health Clinician role within the newly established Connect Well pilot program based in Goulburn.

This is a brand-new role within an innovative pilot program and offers the chance to help shape a holistic healing model that is still evolving, working alongside a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, health professionals, and other practitioners, to support holistic healing and long‑term recovery.

In partnership with COORDINARE, one of six Primary Health Networks awarded funding for a two‑year pilot, Connect Well delivers place‑based support to women, infants, children and young people experiencing family, domestic and sexual violence. The initiative has established outreach primary health care teams within crisis accommodation services, with tailored support including accompaniment to external appointments as needed.

The role of the Mental Health Clinician is to deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed psychological therapies to women, and their children where applicable, who have experienced domestic and family violence (DFV). This may include individual counselling, child‑focused or attachment focused therapy, interventions, psychoeducation, and collaborative care planning.

About you:

You are an experienced practitioner (Trauma Councillor, Mental Health nurse, psychologist, or other allied health professional with mental health credentials, such as a social worker or family therapist) with a deep commitment to trauma‑informed practice and advancing women's wellbeing. You bring empathy, insight and evidence‑based approaches to supporting recovery, empowerment and long‑term healing for women who have experienced domestic and family violence.

You will have:

* Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related mental health discipline.

* Eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association

* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role.

* Demonstrated experience providing trauma‑informed, evidence‑based counselling to women who have experienced domestic and family violence.

* Experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children and/or undertaking child‑focused or dyadic (mother-child) work.

* Strong communication, advocacy and documentation skills

* A warm, engaging and respectful approach with clients and colleagues

If you want to be part of a groundbreaking trauma recovery service supporting women healing from DFSV, share our values of Compassion, Integrity, Dignity and Inclusion, and are committed to creating positive outcomes for people in your community, we would love to hear from you.
