Growth Geologist
Based in Kalgoorlie, this role follows a family‐friendly 5/2‐4/3 roster with 9‐hour days. You will apply analytical and technical skills to interpret geological data, recognise key features, and contribute to the success of our innovative geology projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Utilise your analytical and technical expertise to accurately assess and interpret geological data from core samples.
* Supervise drilling contractors and provide expert guidance to maximise project efficiency and discovery.
* Be the gatekeeper of geological data, ensuring that all drilling results, core logging, and laboratory analysis are accurate and reliable.
* Apply fundamental understanding of geology and its processes, with a strong grasp of rock types and mineralogy.
* Analyse and interpret geological data effectively using advanced software and tools to unlock hidden subsurface information.
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team, adapt to different communication styles, and collaborate with diverse people.
Required qualifications and experience:
* Tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in geology with 2+ years of experience as a geologist in the resource industry.
* Experience with mining and geology software packages such as Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire.
* Ability to work well in a team, including contractor management (analytical assay and drilling).
* Must reside in the Goldfields region, or be willing to relocate for our world‐class ore body.
* Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Manual Drivers Licence.
