The Role
We have an exciting role available as a Teacher, Individual Support, at TAFE Queensland's Ipswich Campus.
As a TAFE Teacher you will have the opportunity to impart your extensive industry knowledge and experience to students using a variety of delivery methods including in the classroom, online, and workplace. You will also enjoy the satisfaction of giving students from diverse backgrounds the skills they need to succeed at work and in their future.
This position is available on a temporary part‐time (0.5 FTE) basis from 5 May 2026 until 9 October 2026, unless otherwise determined, and reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $46,465 – $58,166 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements
* CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability; and/or
* CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability or equivalent; and/or
* HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, or equivalent; and/or
* Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing
Applications Must Also Possess The Following
* Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
* Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform the training and assessment provided
* Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment, including competency‐based training and assessment
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (see https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/worker-screening/ndis-worker-screening-check)
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (see http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/)
* Current Queensland Driver's licence
Additional Qualifications
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
* TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
* TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
* TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
* TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
* A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
o TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
o TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor
* A higher‐level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland)
Highly Desirable
* High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems)
* Industry currency – experience in relevant work sector (Disability/Aged Care – minimum 5 years)
