Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls professional to join our team in Canberra, ACT, Australia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project performance across various disciplines.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
* Perform critical path analysis and progress tracking to ensure timely project delivery
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
* Prepare and analyse project performance reports, including earned value metrics
* Manage change control processes, including scope, schedule, and cost changes
* Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide strategic insights and recommendations
* Implement and maintain project control systems and tools
* Support the development of project governance frameworks and best practices
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project controls function
Qualifications
* Proven experience in project controls within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
* Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Contruent, and cost management systems
* Strong knowledge of earned value management (EVM) principles and practices
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex stakeholder environment
* Experience with contract management and procurement processes
* Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
