The Role

Hampton SHS is seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join our dedicated team. The role offers the opportunity to impact student outcomes. We are looking for an English generalist with a focus on literacy development and/or English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).

You would be a conscientious, flexible and innovative educator committed to the development of the whole student, actively involved within the school and wider community, and dedicated to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. You should deliver a differentiated curriculum that meets diverse learners, including those requiring targeted literacy support and EALD strategies, and maintain high expectations for achievement.

Ideal candidates will be innovative, committed to high-quality teaching and learning, and bring creativity, rigour and inclusivity to their practice. Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills will help promote the school’s values and priorities and build positive relationships with students.

Eligibility

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

- A statement of up to four pages demonstrating Professional Knowledge, Practice and Engagement aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- A CV of up to four pages outlining your employment history and professional learning relevant to this position.
