The Team
The Rostering Support Unit Team works under the broad direction of the Nurse Manager – Integrated Operations Centre. The team is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to managers accessing the Roster Support Unit services. We collaborate to deliver high quality rostering and payroll processes, ensuring database integrity and accurate payroll payments and coding are entered into ProAct from staff movements on allocators.
Location
Located in Latrobe, the Mersey Community Hospital offers general and specialist health services, including a 24‐hour emergency department, general medicine day surgery, endoscopy, rehabilitation, palliative care, oncology services, and a variety of specialist clinics. The hospital is a dedicated elective surgery centre and provides a mixture of general hospital services. It has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania, providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.
The Role
We are seeking an efficient Administration Support Officer to provide effective rostering and award/payroll support to hospital managers using the ProAct and Empower systems.
The successful applicant will provide administrative support, including training, for Hospital Managers on rostering related issues, collate staffing‐related management reports, and, in consultation with Nurse Management, coordinate the daily nursing rostering for clinical areas.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker up to 64 hours per fortnight, until 31 October 2026. (Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.)

Salary
$73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro‐rated). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You'll have access to salary package benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other benefits if eligible.
