Suncare Support Worker - what's involved in the role?
This is a rewarding community-based role where you will be supported by engaged managers and have ongoing support.
We are seeking Permanent Part-Time Support Workers (contracts ranging from 45 to 65 hours per fortnight) to provide support to our customers in Nambour and surrounding region.
The role of a Suncare Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family.
No two days are the same and duties may include delivering personal care, household domestic assistance (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, accompanying them on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.
Hours of work are typically Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm.
For your set fortnightly roster, please share your availability and preferred hours.
An example roster is Monday to Friday 8am–4pm (65 hours per fortnight).
There may also be opportunities to gain additional hours depending on your availability and our operational requirements.
About you
A background and qualification in community services is advantageous, but the most important is your attitude and alignment with our values.

For this position you will be required to be physically fit, hold a valid Driver's Licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured.
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and CPR and First Aid certificates are required, and you will need the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
