Desert Blue Connect is looking for an experienced Counsellor to join the clinical services team. This position is responsible for the provision of a broad range of therapeutic and support services for people who have experienced sexual assault.

We are committed to supporting communities and people by providing quality service delivery, advocacy and prevention initiatives throughout the mid-west region.
The Role
The Counsellor provides counselling and case management to survivors and their families affected by sexual abuse using a variety of therapeutic interventions and evidence based models.
ESSENTIAL
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Counselling or Social work.
* Minimum of 5 years counselling experience and eligibility for membership to the relevant professional association.
* Highly developed clinical practices, counselling and assessment skills with experience involving women, children and men who may have experienced trauma with multiple needs and issues and exhibit complex / difficult / challenging behaviours.
* High level interpersonal skills to engage with staff, clients, stakeholders and the broader community in order to develop effective partnerships and working relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to foster and lead positive change management within an organisation including experience in quality and compliance service delivery.
DESIRABLE
* Experience in regional settings
* Experience within the FDV sector
