Role Overview
Position: Insurance Professional – Independent Contractor, Remote
Commitment: 15–25 hours/week, flexible up to 40 hours/week
Duration: 1–2 months
Mission: Support high-impact projects by evaluating and refining AI systems for insurance workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs in pricing, reserving, underwriting, and risk modeling
- Evaluate actuarial projections for accuracy and regulatory alignment
- Provide structured feedback on assumptions, clarity, and methodology consistency
- Stress-test AI outputs across claims scenarios, reserve adequacy, and solvency models
- Tag and organize content by insurance domain (life, health, property & casualty, reinsurance)
- Support benchmarking to assess AI capabilities in actuarial science and insurance operations
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in actuarial practice, insurance analytics, underwriting, or risk modeling
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or related field
- Familiarity with actuarial software/tools (Prophet, AXIS, R, Python) and insurance-specific methodologies
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ASA, ACAS, or equivalent preferred
- Location: US, UK, CA, AUS, NZ preferred
Engagement Details
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: Part-time (15–25 hours/week, flexible up to 40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – flexible working hours
- Compensation: $55–$100 USD/hr, competitive hourly rate based on experience
