* Case Worker – Immediate Housing Response (IHR) Team
* Case Worker – Homestay Program
About the IHR Program
The Immediate Housing Response (IHR) Program provides short-term and temporary refuge accommodation for Queenslanders experiencing, or at imminent risk of, homelessness. Delivered through government-funded Specialist Homelessness Services, the program supports clients in temporary accommodation with case management to help secure safe and stable housing. The IHR program works with singles, couples, and families.
About the Homestay Program
The Homestay Program is a voluntary service that helps people at risk of homelessness maintain their independence and remain housed. Through case management support, HomeStay assists families, individuals, and young people who may be experiencing personal, social, financial, or emotional challenges that place them at risk of losing their home.
Purpose of Position:
CASA delivers high-quality housing and support services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Through strong case management, consistent practice standards, and effective service delivery, we help clients build the skills and connections they need to achieve independence, self-reliance, and long-term stability within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess the needs of clients and provide appropriate support to individuals and families whose tenancies are at risk.
* Support change to achieve long term sustainable outcomes for clients.
* Participate in case management strategies with clients and other service providers.
* Maximising continued improvement for delivery of services by the organisation to the community.
* Ensure consistency in delivery of individual tasks.
* Interpret the organisation's relevant policies and procedures relating to engagement with clients and carrying out daily responsibilities related to your particular position.
* Providing analytical client contact reports.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Minimum Cert III in community services or other relevant qualification
* Current Class C Drivers License
* Blue Card Qld (Clearance to work with children), NDIS Workers Screening Clearance Card
Desired Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience within the community services sector
* Previous Housing/RTA knowledge
Essential Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated strong analytical and case management skills relating to assessment, intake, case planning, case reviews, co-service delivery and critical incident responses.
* Demonstrated ability to ensure self-compliance with organizational and funded bodies regulations, policies and procedures.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the capacity to use Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and Outlook) and/or ability to learn and/or navigate the organisation's data bases and funding bodies requirements.
