How you'll make an impact
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for helping a panel of existing practice clients achieve their business ambitions and growing the number of practices that acquire services from AMP Advice - either under one of the three licensees or through Jigsaw (AMP Advice's self-licensed business).
We work with self-employed advice practices with a particular focus on diversified client value proposition that include (but not limited to) financial advice, mortgage broking services, and estate-planning.
Main Focus Areas:
With an established panel of practices the Strategic Account Manager role is focused on growth and practice management.
Growth is defined by redefining the value proposition, growing the number of clients, pricing their services appropriately, introducing new services to clients, or a program of merger and acquisition activity. The role also supports practice's adviser and mortgage broker recruitment and professional year candidate support.
Leveraging the Spark practice management framework to consult with a self-employed financial planning businesses, The Strategic Account Manager creates clarity around their business ambition, develop apelling strategy to achieve their ambition, connect them with solutions to realise the strategy,
Using a suite of proprietary tools, the Strategic Account Manager provides a deep dive into the business, giving practice leaders and management a understanding of their Financial, People, Clients and Operations aspects. This includes benchmarking these attributes against peers and the broader industry.
Working with the practice's leadership team, the Strategic Account Manager reviews the findings discovered to develop insights and agree to a strategic plan. Initiatives identified are then prioritised based on impact to achieving the business' goals, and curates the services, specialists and tools required to deliver the initiatives.
Meeting with the practice's leaders regularly, the Strategic Account Manager turns the strategy and initiatives into quarterly project plans. Supporting the business with rmendations on structure and operating model to help the business to successfully implement and embed the initiatives. And finally, closing the loop on benchmarking performance to ensure the initiatives have realised the strategic plan and objectives.
In addition, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for growing AMP Advice's practicemunity. This includes sourcing, recruiting and onboarding new practices into either the licensee or self-licensed service proposition.
What you will bring to the team
Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
1. CFP/ADFS or Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) qualifications is desirable
2. Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline (preferred)
3. Must hold a current drivers license and have a motor vehicle
4. Demonstrated track record of achieving business deliverables and individual KPI's
5. At least 5 years in a practice development role, or a similar coaching or leadership role within Financial Planning industry
6. Proven record in influencing, coaching and leading
7. Strong business acumen and high level analytical skills
8. Well developed knowledge of the Financial Services industry and Financial Planning profession, including regulatory issues,pliance and standards (including education) is essential - both current and potential developments
9. Practical working knowledge of Financial Services Licensee obligations
10. Proficient experience in presenting to small to medium audiences
11. Proven record in personally driving change to effect substantial business improvement
12. Experience in advice policies and the provision of advice to clients is desirable
