Getting On With Life – GOWLs
-----------------------------------
Trust & Kindness in Action
At Getting On With Life (GOWLs), we don't just provide support, we build long-term relationships and create real, measurable outcomes.
We are a South Australian, community-based NDIS provider working across Adelaide and Whyalla, supporting participants in their homes and community settings.
Our work is grounded in one simple principle: Trust and Kindness in Action.
We are seeking a Community Support Worker who is in this work for the right reasons — someone patient, emotionally intelligent, work within boundaries and is genuinely interested in people.
Why Work With GOWLs? [pronounced 'goals']
We know there are many support worker roles advertised...Here's what makes us different:
Long-Term Participants
We work with participants for years — not weeks. This means consistency, relationship depth and the opportunity to see genuine growth over time.
Long-Term Staff
Our team stays. We invest in people and create cohesion. You are not "just a shift filler" - you are part of a professional team.
Real Outcomes
We are not a "babysitting" service. We embed recovery coaching principles, behaviour frameworks and skill-building into every shift. Our work is intentional, structured and outcome-driven.
Professional Development Budget
We support you to grow. Ongoing training, high-intensity skill development and client-specific education are provided.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Your wellbeing matters. All staff have access to confidential counselling support.
Team Culture
We run structured team meetings, debrief appropriately and support each other in complex situations. You will never be left unsupported.
Values-Driven Leadership
We operate with clear boundaries, ethical practice and genuine care - for both participants and staff.
