The Agile Lead is a servant-leader and facilitator focused on enabling teams to deliver high-quality, value-driven outcomes. This role supports the Product Owner, Agile Coach, and cross-functional squads by fostering Agile maturity, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and ceremonies. It plays a pivotal part in driving delivery excellence within Westpac’s Agile and Delivery Framework. The role will lead Agile ceremonies, coach teams in Agile practices, and remove delivery blockers. It will uphold Scrum governance, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the organisation’s Agile transformation. Additionally, the position monitors performance through Agile metrics to enable continuous improvement. What do I need? Essential: Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM or equivalent) with 5 years of experience in Agile delivery. Together with solid experience in the responsibility areas mentioned above, to be successful in the role you will have a strong project management and delivery mindset and tackle all problems head on and in a pragmatic manner. Proven experience in scaled Agile environments (e.g. SAFe, LeSS). Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery pipelines. Ability to drive end-to-end program delivery, ensuring teams plan, execute, and deliver outcomes efficiently and in alignment with program goals. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile dashboards. Ability to drive organisational change and foster a culture of collaboration. Desirable: Passion for continuous learning and improvement. Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and the application within the banking industry. Active participation in Agile communities (e.g. MeetUps, mentoring programmes). Experience in cloud migration or platform transformation initiatives. Why join us?
