Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Flora Ecologist to join our team in Queensland. This role will involve conducting field surveys, analyzing environmental impact, and preparing reports for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting field surveys and collecting data
* Analyzing environmental impact and preparing reports
* Preparing proposals and undertaking business development
* Proactively managing projects and delivering components of projects
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in ecology or other relevant degree
* At least 3 years of consulting experience in botanical surveys within Queensland
* A strong botany focus, ideally being suitably qualified to perform protected plant surveys as per Queensland's DES Flora Survey Guidelines
* Experience with the ground-truthing of Regional Ecosystems and leading BioCondition surveys
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with multi-disciplinary professionals
* Demonstrated impact assessment experience within the Queensland and Commonwealth legislative systems
