Specialist Mental Health Nurse - Full-Time Opportunity
This position is a full-time opportunity for an experienced specialist mental health nurse to work across various regions within the Northern Territory.
As a specialist nurse in mental health case management, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for individuals dealing with mental health issues. You must be eligible to practice as a Designated Mental Health Practitioner under the NT Mental Health and Related Services Act (1998), fulfilling the inherent requirements of this role.
* Apply your expertise in therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
* Be recognized by the team for your knowledge and serve as a resource, engaging in agreed independent practice under supervision and management.
* Provide professional advice and coordinate comprehensive client care and/or case management within the speciality area.

Key selection criteria include:
* Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in mental health nursing/midwifery supporting well-developed clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
* Ability to promote a learning environment through clinical support, instruction, and feedback.
* Experience contributing to policy development and implementation, including interpreting established precedents and organisational policies.
* Effective communication skills to influence staff and clients, especially in sensitive matters.
* Well-developed knowledge of social and cultural issues influencing healthcare provision.
