Your new role:
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to manage our back of house function.
This role involves ensuring the accuracy of records and stock integrity, as well as an efficient flow of merchandise from the storeroom to the sales floor.
* The Storeroom Assistant will be responsible for unpacking, labeling, and organizing merchandise in a timely and orderly manner.
* They will receive and process incoming deliveries, verifying the accuracy of items and quantities.
* Commitment to a safety-first culture is essential, with all Occupational Health & Safety standards being upheld.
* The use of Inwards/Outwards Goods Register is required for all inbound/outbound stock movement.
* The role also involves providing friendly customer service and supporting customers with pickups of their purchased items.
* Maintenance of store floor and stockroom standards is also a key responsibility.
What you'll bring to the role:
* A minimum of 2-3 years of retail storeroom experience is required.
* Customer service orientation and work experience is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with various machinery, such as pallet jacks, walkie stackers, and trolleys, is necessary.
* The ability to work independently is essential.
* Proficiency in using inventory management software and point-of-sale systems is required.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
* The physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 15kg.
