Job Description
Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who will provide a person‑centred approach to support. Your daily routine will depend on the individual you are supporting; each day could involve escorting a client to a beach outing, a cinema or a game, attending medical appointments, or providing companionship at home.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities.
- Provide support while attending medical appointments.
- Provide companionship and company at clients’ homes.
- Engage clients in enjoyable activities such as outings or recreational programs.
Qualifications
- Own a fully insured and reliable vehicle.
- Have a current police check (International or Current Police Check within 6 months of application).
- Cert III in Disability or equivalent experience.
- Current Working with Children check.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificates.
- Full and clean Australian driver’s licence.
- Be punctual, reliable and flexible.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field.
- Ability to self‑supervise and remain calm and composed at times of crisis.
Additional Requirements
You must have the right to live and work in Australia.
