Our client is looking for a talented Executive Chef to develop the kitchen team at their newly renovated one-location restaurant. The hotel is a 40-room boutique property that connects guests to nature and its surroundings, with indoor and outdoor spaces designed to flow with the biosphere and climate.
Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the kitchen team in a premium restaurant environment.
* Plan and develop menus, manage labour costs, and coordinate food ordering.
* Monitor and produce high-quality dishes at all stages of preparation and organisation.
* Ensure compliance with hygiene regulations and food safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation with an understanding of workflow and structure.
* Prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
* Display enthusiasm and a creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine.
Qualifications
* AQF Diploma or associate degree is required, with two years of relevant experience (two years may substitute for a formal qualification).
* Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery and experience in a premium restaurant or banquet kitchen.
* Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP.
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating roster.
* Well presented, punctual, and reliable.
* Own transport is required.
* Ability to plan and develop menus, labour costs, and food ordering.
Salary
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 + super
