We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and "switched on" Accounts Clerk to progress their career in a successful and growing Melbourne Law Firm.
**About the role....**
Reporting to the Head of Finance and as an integral member of the Accounts team, you'll enjoy a varied role covering a broad range of tasks related to General Accounts, Accounts Receivable, Trust Accounts and Controlled Monies.
**Some of your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;**
- bank reconciliations for the office and trust account
- daily banking, petty cash and processing credit card payments
- monthly balancing of creditors
- assist with end of month balancing, filing and financial procedures
- open and close controlled monies accounts and balance month end controlled monies
- follow up outstanding invoices, enter disbursements and creditors and assist with general accounts queries
**Skills and experience we'd love...**
Our client is seeking a pro-active team person who enjoys working in a team and is happy to pitch in and assist others when required. You will also have;
- previous experience in a similar role
- proficient skills in MS Office and accounting systems
- strong attention to detail
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to meet deadlines and work within time frames
