CCB is seeking a Aquaculture Supervisor to join our expanding production team in the stunning Whitsundays. This is your opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight in a technically focused aquaculture operation with automation and computer controls.
As an Aquaculture Supervisor, you will assist the coordination of day-to-day operations on-site, guiding and supporting a team of workers to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will assist your manager with coordinating tasks, maintaining quality control, and completing operational procedures. As Supervisor, you will complete technical and office-based tasks as well as being hands on with the team.
In addition, you will be strongly supported and mentored by our Growout and Production Managers to ensure your continued development.
Coral Coast Barramundi is an industry leader in Barramundi aquaculture, with a fully integrated farming operation in Bowen, including breeding, hatchery, nursery rearing, grow out system, and a HACCP-approved processing facility. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated individual to contribute to our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities: with help from our other managers.
* Supervise daily farming tasks and organize staff within a small team.
* Plan, coordinate, and schedule tasks efficiently to meet production goals.
* Provide training to new and existing staff members.
* Carry out technical aquaculture tasks
* Operate farm machinery and equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair equipment and infrastructure as needed.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in farming, with a preference for those with aquaculture experience.
* Experienced supervisors from other farming industries are encouraged to apply.
* Current driver's license (required).
* Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
* Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Current Forklift and Telehandler Licenses (or willingness to obtain).
