Job Title: Strategic Procurement Lead
This is a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible.
The role is part of the Finance and Commercial Services Division, responsible for provision of support to the Department of Education and Schools, contract planning and management, insurance management, fleet management and commercial legal advice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strategic procurement plans for buying goods and services by providing high-level advice, training, and support to business units on procurement activities.
* Facilitate initiation documentation, service design, and policy advice to support value-for-money outcomes and compliance with WA Procurement Rules.
* Maintain and update the Procurement and Contract Management Framework, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with WA Procurement Rules and best practice.
* Coordinate compliance reporting, audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of procurement practices.
You will apply foundations of contract law to procurement activities, provide interpretation of contract terms and conditions, and proactively escalate issues or seek advice from legal experts where appropriate.
Within this role, you will be expected to maintain current knowledge and understanding of government procurement frameworks, policies, and procedures, including social procurement considerations.
