You will drive the evolution of the data platform, with a strong focus on Snowflake, DBT, Databricks, enterprise information integration and governance tooling. This role is highly technical and strategic. It requires someone who can engage with senior technical stakeholders, shape data architecture and translate vision into a practical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide architectural leadership and direction for data platforms and solutions within the enterprise.
* Lead design and implementation of Snowflake data warehousing, DBT transformation workflows and Databricks processing.
* Define and optimise the enterprise information integration layer to support analytics, reporting and operational use cases.
* Champion governance tooling and standards including data quality, lineage, metadata and access controls.
* Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, operations and IT teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
* Translate strategic direction into actionable architecture and scalable solutions.
* Engage with highly technical stakeholders to validate requirements, propose options and guide delivery.
* Ensure architectural decisions balance long term value with practical delivery needs.
Experience and skills
* 7+ years in data engineering, solution architecture or domain architecture roles within complex environments.
* Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT and Databricks technologies.
* Strong understanding of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT and enterprise information architectures.
* Familiarity with data governance tooling and best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
* Proven track record of translating high level vision into practical strategy and deliverable solutions.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams.
Desirable Attributes
* Utilities or if not MUST have experience in a large-scale industry
* Experience in cloud first data platform implementations.
