This civil contractor has been engaged to deliver a $15 million dollar Road / earthworks package in North Queensland. This is an expansion of an existing mine site, with a positive track record and history with this mining client there will be more of this work released in the years to come.
As Senior Project Engineer you will assist in delivering numerous sites and packages approximately $50M worth including: bulk / detailed earthworks, drainage, services, road works and other smaller packages. You will liaise with the client and Superintendent, managing a team of Engineers who will help you put together: costings, quality assurance, procurement and meeting the program.
You will report to the Project Manager who will offer both autonomy and support to you and your team. You will need similar experience leading a team through initial site set up: managing aspects such as: community liaising, land owner negotiations and subcontractor negotiations. People with tertiary qualifications and a proven track record in a similar position will be preferred. Accommodation food will be provided as well as transport back to Brisbane or surrounding areas during your break.
