Youth Mental Health Specialist
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role involves delivering assertive, community-based mental health support across homes, schools, and community settings.
The successful candidate will meet young people where they are at, help them build confidence, and empower them to take steps towards a meaningful and independent life.
The role requires flexibility, creativity, and a youth-centred approach.
* Deliver individual and group-based interventions
* Meet with young people in their homes, schools, or community settings
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
The specialist will participate in the program's on-call roster approximately 3-4 times per year, providing after-hours phone support as part of shared team responsibilities.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Nursing
* Current registration with AHPRA or the relevant professional body
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
Desirable Skills:
* Clinical experience in mental health, youth services, or related areas
* Skilled in assessment and delivering evidence-based interventions
* Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgement
