Job Overview
* Prepare and manage project finances, including budgets and forecasts.
* Analyze costs, actuals, and accruals on a monthly basis.
* Conduct variance analysis of budget vs forecast and identify potential risks and opportunities.
* Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and update as necessary.
* Review and recommend amendments to project coding structures.
* Collaborate with contracts administrators to ensure contract data is accurately reflected in the cost system.
* Assist in preparing and submitting monthly client progress claims.
* Support Project Managers with subcontractor's progress claims documentation.
* Participate in project activities within the scope of the role.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and work practices.
* Process month-end journals and expenses.
About Our Role
We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing project finances, analyzing costs, and identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts, analyze costs and actuals, and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities and conduct variance analysis of budget vs forecast.
* Coding Structures: Review and recommend amendments to project coding structures and collaborate with contracts administrators.
* Client Progress Claims: Assist in preparing and submitting monthly client progress claims and support Project Managers with subcontractor's progress claims documentation.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in project activities and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and work practices.
