About the Role
We're seeking a passionate Community Development Officer to strengthen outcomes for children and families in Playford. This role focuses on community development through co-design, partnerships, and capacity building, while supporting programs within our Child & Family Wellbeing team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies that improve child and family wellbeing.
Build strong partnerships with schools, health services, community groups, and government agencies.
Lead co-design processes to amplify the voices of children and families.
Deliver and evaluate community development projects within budget and timelines.
Advocate for inclusive, family-friendly practices across Council and networks.
Identify funding opportunities and prepare submissions.
About You
Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Early Childhood, Human Services, or related field.
Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Knowledge of Child Safe Environment legislation and trauma-informed practices.
Current SA Class C Driver's Licence.
Mandatory Requirements
Working With Children Check & National Criminal History Clearance.
Child Safe Environments training.
First Aid certification.
