Description About the role As a Technical Lead within our Technology & Transformation division, you will play a pivotal role providing technical leadership and guidance in the design, deployment, development, maintenance and support of customer-centric platforms. The Tech Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of customer platform solutions, aligning them with business objectives, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and an outstanding user experience. This role will be heavily involved in a major data migration project. This role is offered as a 12 months fixed term contract with potential extensions or permanency. Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Application of UniVerse technical expertise throughout the role. Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives related to customer platforms. Solution Architecture: Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to design scalable, reliable, and secure customer platform solutions that meet business requirements, strategic goals and security and compliance requirements. Software Development: Lead and actively participate in the development, implementation, and enhancement of customer platform applications, adhering to coding best practices and quality standards. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, delivery leads and analysts, to ensure effective collaboration and seamless integration of customer platforms with other systems and applications. Agile Methodology: Drive the adoption of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and promote continuous improvement within the team. Technical Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their technical growth and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. About you You have strong expertise in successful delivery and support of customer-centric platforms that are usable, stable, secure, compliant, and aligned to business objectives. You will achieve this by providing strong technical leadership and mentorship to the team, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Knowledge and Experience Technical Experience: Strong experience with UniVerse code development is essential to be successful in this role. Finance Experience: Experience within the banking sector is vital for success. Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical. Documentation and Written Communication Skills: Quality documentation skills, to accurately and concisely record information that can be easily understood. Technical Acumen: Prior experience designing, delivering and/or maintaining complex technical solutions and the ability and experience of identifying and resolving complex technical issues. Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external parties with an attitude of working together for the benefit of our customers and in line with our values.
