This role presents a chance to lead maintenance activities at a major mine in Australia, focusing on HydroSX equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising technicians in executing maintenance tasks according to weekly schedules and procedures. They will collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent and other supervisors to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching the team.
* Prioritizing work execution based on equipment condition to prevent unplanned failures and supervising the execution of the weekly work schedule.
* Planning and scheduling break-in work based on risk of equipment failure within a 7-day period.
* Identifying and implementing maintenance execution improvement initiatives with support from the Reliability Maintenance team.
* Allocating resources to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes as part of work activity planning.
* Offering continued development and mentorship to the team and ensuring competency of individual maintainers in the safe performance of their duties.
* Supervising the execution of maintenance activities related to process control systems within the operation, including software and hardware for these systems.
* Coordinating commissioning activities related to modifications and small projects and those related to brown and green field projects.
About You
We are seeking a leader with previous experience in maintenance supervision who has the confidence to lead by example, hold themselves and others accountable, and coach others in 'Safety Leadership.' The ideal candidate will have tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant maintenance field or engineering discipline, as well as experience with local safety and statutory regulations.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated previous leadership experience.
* Tertiary or trade qualifications in relevant maintenance field(s) or engineering discipline(s).
* Experience with local safety and statutory regulations will be advantageous, as well as Front Line Management qualifications.
* Quality-focused with a drive to achieve results for the team.
* Ability to balance multiple incoming priorities and effectively deliver on customer expectations.
