How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space

* Design, analyse, verify, and document mechanical and structural systems using a spectrum of design, analysis, test, and manufacturing tools to deliver structures and mechanical components.
* Own end-to-end product delivery timelines through conception, design, assembly, and qualification.
* Define and review hardware test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance.
* Interpret requirements and specifications to develop mechanical architectures and layouts.
* Analyse test data to inform design decisions and manage technical risk.
* Provide technical review and mentoring support to engineering colleagues in accordance with company and departmental engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
* Exercise sound engineering judgement to resolve complex, time-critical problems under pressure, often with incomplete or evolving information.
* Perform additional duties aligned with role responsibilities as requested.
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
* 6+ years of experience with aerospace or mechanical design and analysis in a professional setting (excluding internships).
* 6+ years of experience with CAD, designing parts and assemblies.
* 3+ years of experience with at least one commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package.
* 6+ years of hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and/or testing.
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) and/or RPEQ status, or demonstrated progress toward professional registration.
* Understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of complex aerospace or mechanical systems.
* Analytical/scientific programming experience (Python, Matlab, Excel, etc).
* Experience with multi-disciplinary systems.
* Experience with structural testing.
* Experience with Systems Engineering processes.
* Solid understanding and application of GD&T.
* Eligibility to obtain a NV1 Security Clearance.
