Human Resources Generalist - AU Retail (14-Month Contract)
Full time | Head Office (Rosebery) | Fashion Retail
We're looking for a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist to join a collaborative retail HR team on a 14‐month fixed‐term contract. This role supports the end-to-end HR function for retail teams across Australia and plays a key part in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and training. Reporting to the HR Manager (Retail), you'll work closely with Retail Leaders and the wider People team to ensure smooth and effective delivery of people initiatives and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment including advertising, screening, and interviewing.
- Coordinate onboarding, off-boarding, and visa requirements.
- Support employee relations and provide guidance to retail leaders.
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate data and timely responses to queries.
- Coordinate WHS initiatives and training sessions.
- Maintain policies, HR systems, and payroll schedules.
- Assist in annual performance appraisals and special projects (e.g. seasonal recruitment, careers days).
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' experience in a similar HR generalist role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field.
- Experience in retail or fast‐paced, multi‐site environments preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail‐oriented, and confident in managing priorities.
- Experience with HRIS or ATS platforms.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and solutions‐focused team player.
