Job Role Overview
The WHS Assurance Specialist supports the delivery of Work Health and Safety programs across airports. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining a mature health and safety management system through relationship building, business partnering, monitoring, assurance, and verification activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide assurance and oversight of contractor works across multiple sites, including service contractor audits, contractor prequalification, induction management and assisting with permit-to-work requirements.
* Conduct hazard inspections and task observations, and implement corrective and improvement actions to mitigate risks.
* Maintain and administer health and safety components of risk management systems.
* Facilitate consultation activities, including health and safety committee meetings, worker participation workshops, and contractor safety committees.
* Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture.
* Support the embedding of safety leadership behaviors across the organization.
