Job Description:
As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing staff in the provision of patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with sterilization and disinfection tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
* Performing sterilizing and disinfection tasks according to best practice standards.
* Following delegated care plans under the supervision of Registered or Enrolled Nurses.
* Assisting with stock control, restocking, and equipment checking.
* Maintaining accurate documentation and using hospital IT systems.
* Supporting infection control and contributing to a clean, safe working environment.
* Participating in training, mandatory competencies, and quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with excellent communication and teamwork skills, who are proactive, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. A Certificate III in Sterilising Services (or commitment to complete within 12 months) is highly desirable. Additionally, you should have basic understanding of infection control and sterilisation standards, as well as strong time management and organizational skills.
