Principal Consultant / Enterprise Architect

banking, financial services, superannuation and insurance
industries. While some organisations are winding down initiatives, our clients are very much
winding up
, driving an immediate need for an experienced Principal Consultant / Enterprise Architects who can step in and make an impact quickly.

As a result, we're seeking an experienced
Principal Consultant / Enterprise Architect
to lead and shape strategic engagements across our client portfolio, with a
strong preference for the candidate to be available to start immediately or at short notice
.

This role can be engaged on a
contract or permanent basis
, with flexibility across
part-time or full-time allocations
. We focus on outcomes and impact—not rigid engagement models.

What You'll Be Doing

* Leading enterprise architecture engagements across
banking, superannuation, insurance and broader financial services
clients
* Defining
target state architectures, roadmaps, principles, and reference models
aligned to business strategy and regulatory obligations
* Providing architectural oversight and assurance across solution designs and delivery initiatives
* Supporting architecture governance, design authorities, and executive-level decision forums
* Mentoring Solution Architects and contributing specialists across active engagements
* Partnering closely with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and senior business leaders to drive informed decision-making
* Advising on modern architecture patterns including
data platforms, integration, cloud, and AI-enabled capabilities

What You'll Bring

* 10+ years' experience
in Enterprise Architecture or senior architecture consulting roles
* Strong, demonstrable experience within banking, superannuation, insurance or financial services environments
* Proven capability defining and operationalising
enterprise target states and transformation roadmaps
* Confidence engaging with senior executives within
regulated and risk-aware organisations
* Experience working within
complex governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of architecture practitioners
* A consulting mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery
* Immediate availability or the ability to commence at short notice is highly regarded
* Awareness of AI and its implications for enterprise and solution architecture is advantageous
