Procurement Specialist Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community-focused work in a high-performing procurement function, led by an outstanding Chief Procurement Officer and operating in a collaborative strategic environment.
* Main Responsibilities:
o Coordinate cross-functional procurement teams and projects of significant community value
o Support development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with Council policy and objectives
o Assist with tender preparation quotations and expressions of interest
o Review contract documentation to ensure value for money outcomes
o Provide market intelligence and benchmarking to inform procurement strategy
o Oversee evaluation processes and advise on probity compliance and decision-making
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in procurement support (e.g. as a Procurement Officer Analyst or Specialist)
* Strong technical procurement knowledge and familiarity with relevant legislation and guidelines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence working collaboratively and influencing stakeholders
* A resilient adaptable mindset with the ability to navigate complexity and change
