Responsibilities
- Setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to prepare work areas.
- Preparing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks, sanding, sealing, and smoothing surfaces.
- Mixing paints and other coatings to achieve required colours and textures.
- Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Hanging wallpaper, aligning patterns, and trimming edges neatly.
- Cleaning and maintaining painting tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Carrying out minor repairs such as restoring wooden frames, replacing glass panels, or repairing wall and floor surfaces when required.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant painting experience.
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow company standards.
