About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, or Experienced Fixed Plant maintainer to join our Permanent Fixed Plant Mechanical Teams at Newman Operations. The position is a residential role based on even‐time rosters (day & night shift). The role reports to the Supervisor Fixed Plant Maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
* Maintain a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
* Undertake preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommend appropriate follow‐up action.
* Repair and service fixed plant equipment, attend breakdowns and maintain plant availability.
* Collaborate to fault‐find equipment in breakdown situations.
* Carry out all activities within the whole‐of‐job scope, including pre‐work, preparation of JHAs, organizing materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks.
* Ensure operational discipline in 1SAP Work Management practices, from raising notifications, execution of Work Orders on both planned and unplanned situations.
Location
The residential role is based in Newman, Western Australia, at the Mount Whaleback mine site. Residents will be provided with subsidised rental accommodation, power and water subsidies and will benefit from a lifestyle roster pattern that allows them to be home every night.

Qualifications
* Australian recognised Mechanical Trade experience or equivalent with Fixed Plant expertise.
* Minimum C Class Driver's Licence.
* Commitment to safe systems of work and demonstrated knowledge.
* Experience in hydraulics, plant maintenance, and 1SAP or similar systems is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to adapt and work within planned or breakdown maintenance environments.
* Proactive, team‐focused, self‐motivated and able to work autonomously.
