About the role
Eastern Health is currently looking for passionate and experienced Grade 3 Social Workers to join our Allied Health teams. These roles are to support as a senior clinician in our subacute wards, we have an exciting oportunity at our Wantirna site (complex and continuning care/NDIS).
This role provides service to our growing, innovative Social Work department. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department.
These opportunities are available due to internal staff progression, we pride ourselves on cultivating a culture of learning, growth and improvement.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
* Eligibility for membership of the AASW
* Experience in a hospital setting
* Highly developed interpersonal skills
* A strong commitment to high quality care
* The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Excellent risk assessment skills
* The ability to lead complex discharge planning
* Conflict resolution skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
